Your Right to Deletion
Under GDPR Article 17 (Right to Erasure), you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data from OpenScouter at any time. This includes your account data, testing session data, facial expression data, voice recordings, and any other information we hold about you.
How to Request Deletion
To request deletion of your data, email us at privacy@openscouter.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. Include the email address associated with your OpenScouter account.

- Voice transcripts and sentiment data
- Session notes and AI-generated insights linked to your sessions
- WhatsApp number and communication preferences

What We May Retain
We may retain certain data where required by law or legitimate business interest:
- Anonymised, aggregated data — statistical data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for research and product improvement.
- Financial records — payment transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years as required by UK tax law (HMRC).
- Legal obligations — data subject to ongoing legal proceedings or regulatory requirements.
Processing Time
We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and complete the deletion within 30 days, as required by GDPR. If the request is complex or we receive a high volume of requests, we may extend this by a further 60 days and will notify you accordingly.
After Deletion
Once your data is deleted, your account will be permanently deactivated. This action cannot be undone. Any pending payments will be processed before deletion is finalised.
